WELCOME TO THE
HUMAN RESTORATION PROJECT
Where being you matters
The Human Restoration Project is about restoring ourselves physically, emotionally, socially.
"Restoration refers to act or process of returning something to an earlier, better condition or position."
At The Human Restoration Project (formerly Sustainable Source) we believe that everyone has an innate deep inner reserve and ability for self-sustaining and self-nurturing. Through exercises and tasks that support people to tap into this, our aim is to help people feel and experience what good self-care can be so they are able to care for themselves and others.
WHAT WE ARE ABOUT.
"I've done a lot of workshops over the years and self-help bits and bobs, plus retreats of various kinds. I don't know if I've ever felt so supported and nurtured in this way and intelligently led."
L.A. Independent Health Practitoner
The foundation on which The Human Restoration Project sits is that of recognising our natural state of being and learning how to maintain that. We know that our natural state is characterised by the presence of inner joy, love, peace and healthfulness. This knowledge is drawn from nearly forty years of experience of working alongside people where it is very apparent that this is not their daily experience, as well as those times when it wasn't for us.
We know that sometimes we need help to get back to our natural states of being.
WE KNOW THAT YOU HAVE THE ANSWERS WITHIN YOU ... HEALTHFULNESS BEGINS HERE
"In my role a lot of what I do is very isolating, so to come here and be with lots of other people who know how I feel without me having to say it is really helpful.”
R.M. Family Carer
Central to this work is the co-creation of a personal tool box of resources that can be drawn upon by the individual. Such tools can be used, not only in the presence of dis-ease, disturbance and disruption, but also as a means of early intervention before such disconnection occurs.
5 QUESTIONS TO HELP YOU DECIDE IF THIS IF THIS IS FOR YOU
Do you struggle to remember the last time you did something just for you?
Are you the type of person that is always giving to others?
Do people closest to you mention that you are tired, angry, or just not yourself?
Is every day just a series of 'must do's'?
Have you ever really shared how hard life can be for you and felt as if you have been heard?
Whilst this is not a comprehensive list, answering Yes to one or more of these questions might suggest that The Human Restoration Project could be of benefit to you.
If you are unsure, or would like to talk things through, please do get in touch.
